The paper aims to analyse the relationship between the attitudes towards partnerships and types of partners within networks of innovation. The attitudes towards partnerships are drawn from the relevant institutionalist literature, whereas the types of partners arise out of the organizational perspective towards networks of innovation. Based on the criticism of the assumptive incompatibility of the two approaches, a hypothesis that the attitudes towards partnerships and the types of partners in networks of innovation are coherent is raised. The findings challenge the hypothesis; however, they highlight the relationship between the attitudes towards partnerships and the types of partners with corresponding institutional settings and industrial specifics.Downloads
