Abstract

The article seeks to answer two questions: what factors influence students' achievements and how much they correlate with the factors distinguished in various studies. The first part o fhthe article is a theoretical analysis of different factors which contribute to students' achievements. The methodology of the study is introduced in the second part, whereas the third part deals with the interpretation of the survey results. Finally, some conclusions are presented. The most important of them is that teacher's professional development, management of teaching and learning process as well as class attendance have the biggest influence on students' achievements.
